Corinne Jaillais has always remembered her roots. She grew up in the new town of Richelieu (Indre-et-Loire, central France). Richelieu is known for its immaculate, grid-like design and impressive 17th-century architecture. The main street, the archways, and the square plazas still evoke strong emotions in her today. She fondly remembers the attic room in the school where she lived with her parents, both teachers. It was a place where she traveled within her thoughts, dreaming of time differences and overcoming boredom. Already itching to take on challenges and make a difference, driven by desires for beauty and greatness that were biding their time. After studying business, she graduated with a degree in finance. She then joined a major banking group, dividing her time between Tours and Paris.
The financial industry has been a foundational setting for her, allowing her to develop skills such as active listening, implicit data research, and the complex case resolution to carry out precise diagnoses and build the most relevant economic models. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to empowering her counterparts by offering solid foundations, fostering innovation, coming up with unexpected surprises, and facilitating transformation through a simultaneously humanistic and indispensable approach.
Throughout these years, her path has crossed those of equally talented individuals such as Thierry Chassagne, then CEO of Warner Music, Patrick Mahé, Director of Paris Match, and Christian Monjou, an expert lecturer in managerial analysis. Three destinies filled with audacity, confidence, and charisma that resonate within her, serving as the pillars of her guidance.
These men of energy and faith have always followed their instincts openly and decisively. True sources of inspiration, they have elevated her towards greater refinement in her expertise when working with clients.
She has always been deeply captivated by art, the other guiding thread of her existence. In 2007, she made the decision to pursue her education in the arts, aiming to acquaint herself with art history in order to immerse herself in raw material, and to approach and understand the world of artists up-close. Corinne Jaillais is the kind of person who dreams big, constantly wanting to go further. One fine day, she knocked on the door of a sculptor whose works resonated with her.
Franco-Swiss artist Antoine Poncet’s monumental sculptures are displayed in public spaces all around the world. How did he manage to make this possible? She wanted to know the steps of the process that led him to the final result. The dean of the Academy of Fine Arts, who unfortunately just passed away recently, had welcomed her into his studio in the 7th arrondissement of Paris and answered her questions. He confided, with a rare display of humility, that he had still not found the hidden treasure within himself.
Based for 18 years in Vannes , in the Morbihan department in Brittany in north-western France, she initially joined a financing brokerage firm. Her commitment to collective endeavors has been a constant one. Driven by a passion and a desire to contribute to the city, it’s no surprise that she took part in the DeDalE project, supporting Laurent Sanchez, the president of the association “L’Art Prend la Rue.” He successfully transformed a former public building acquired by the city into a 32291-square-foot space, dedicated to street art and urban art. Corinne Jaillais had the brilliant idea of introducing classical music and classical singing to the port. The unforgettable event, “La Voix des Choeurs”, is a project where she had complete creative freedom. She conceptualized and executed it from start to finish. A floating stage of 1291 sq. ft. hosted the French Army Choir, led by conductor Aurore Tillac along with sixteen singers, Polish soprano Jolanta Kowalska, forty amateur choristers from the Vannes Men’s Choir, and three pianists.
Laurent Sanchez reached out to her again when he had another seemingly impossible project in mind. The idea was to create a giant 678 sq. ft. digital mural on the facade of the Château de l’Hermine on the ramparts of Vannes. The historic facade was covered with a massive banner for the occasion. A QR-code in France with a smartphone provided access to a game and the city’s mobile site with all possible practical or cultural information. The QR-code, now a symbol of the city, later received the Gold Innovation Award. In a spirit of harmony and kindness, she is dedicated to acting for the greater good. Driven by an irresistible desire to unite and connect, she aims to break conventions and go against the tide, gently awakening and demonstrating possibilities each time. She has ambitious projects and visions to reach greater heights and distances. She has recently trademarked the Morbihan Ocean brand, with the idea of defending nature and water by bringing together the active forces of the region in a collective effort. She is convinced, and rightfully so, that we now, more than ever, need values and enchantment to create the world of tomorrow.
